If you’re on the hunt for the top things to do in Marrakech during a short weekend getaway, this article is just what you need. We chose to travel to Marrakech in January, seeking escape from the chilly British climate while also celebrating my birthday in a warm destination that’s conveniently close to Europe.
Over the course of our three-day adventure in Marrakech, we had the pleasure of discovering some of Morocco’s most stunning landmarks, including among others the magnificent El Badi Palace and the Bahia Palace.
We also took a delightful break at Bacha Coffee, a breathtaking spot that is a must-visit for anyone traveling in Morocco. This quick getaway from Manchester to Marrakech turned out to be one of the best decisions we made to dodge the winter blues. It has also left us eager to return to Morocco, as there is still so much more to see and experience.

When is the Best Time to Visit Marrakech?
I would likely avoid planning a trip to Marrakech during the months of June through September, as the average high temperatures can range from 33 to 39 degrees Celsius. This intense heat can make it challenging to fully enjoy the vibrant markets and iconic attractions that the city has to offer.
Instead, I strongly suggest considering a winter visit to Marrakech when the weather is much more enjoyable. The cooler temperatures create a more pleasant atmosphere for wandering through the bustling souks and taking in the stunning sights without the overwhelming crowds that often accompany the summer months.
Weather in Marrakech – January
The temperature variation between day and night in Marrakech is notably pronounced. In January, the average daytime high reaches around 19 degrees Celsius, but as the sun sets, the temperature can fall to an average of 11 degrees.
During our visit in January, we were fortunate with the weather, enjoying pleasantly warm days with temperatures soaring to 24-25 degrees. However, as night approached, the temperature dipped to about 9 degrees, which made the early mornings and evenings feel quite brisk.
During our stay, we found ourselves wearing jackets while enjoying breakfast on the terrace of BÔ Riad Boutique Hôtel & SPA. The coolness of the morning air prompted us to wrap up warmly as we savored our meals outdoors.
Similarly, while we explored the city’s attractions in the early hours or later in the evening, we appreciated having our jackets to keep us comfortable against the chill.
Fortunately, the daytime warmth allowed us to dress in lighter clothing for most of our activities. The higher temperatures made it enjoyable to wander through the vibrant streets and soak in the local culture without feeling overheated.
Flights to Marrakech
Visiting Marrakech during the winter months can be an excellent choice, especially because of the incredibly low airfare available. Between December and March, travelers can find some fantastic deals on plane tickets, with round-trip fares sometimes dropping to as low as £30 if you’re traveling light with just a backpack. This makes it an ideal time for budget-conscious adventurers looking to explore the best attractions of Morocco without breaking the bank.
To snag the best deals on flights, it’s essential to maintain some flexibility with your travel dates. For instance, when we booked our flights to Marrakech, we chose to fly out on a Friday and return to Manchester on a Sunday. While this option was slightly pricier than other alternatives, the overall cost remained quite reasonable, allowing us to enjoy our trip without overspending.
Our journey to Marrakech was facilitated by easyJet for our outbound flight and Ryanair for our return. If you find yourself deciding between these two airlines, I would personally recommend easyJet. The comfort level on easyJet flights tends to be higher, with more legroom and a generally more pleasant atmosphere compared to Ryanair.
Arriving to Marrakech Airport
Marrakesh Menara Airport boasts a striking modern architectural design that captivates visitors from the moment they arrive. However, there are several essential details to keep in mind before you set foot in Marrakesh Menara Airport to ensure a smooth arrival and departure.
When planning your trip to Morocco, it’s crucial to check your passport’s validity. It must be valid for at least three months beyond your arrival date. Additionally, ensure that your passport is in good condition, as Moroccan authorities have been known to deny entry to travelers with damaged documents. This is an important step to avoid any unexpected issues upon arrival.
When I went through passport security, the officer inquired about my accommodation in Morocco. It’s a good idea to have the address of your hotel handy, as they may ask for it. Additionally, the security personnel wanted to know what I do for a living, which is a common question during the screening process.
Once you navigate through the airport, consider purchasing a Moroccan SIM card to stay connected during your travels. The process is incredibly efficient; staff members at the airport are available to assist you by installing the SIM card in your phone, allowing you to get online and start exploring Morocco almost immediately.
Leaving Marrakech Airport
Marrakesh Menara Airport requires a printed boarding pass for all travelers. You can conveniently print your boarding pass at the bag drop desk before heading to security, ensuring a hassle-free experience as you leave Morocco.
One of the highlights for me was a relaxation area featuring a stunning dome ceiling that resembles a starry night sky. It is an ideal spot to relax and recharge before a flight.
It’s important to keep in mind that travelers are allowed to carry a maximum of 2,000 Moroccan dirhams when entering or leaving Morocco. This currency is classified as non-convertible, meaning it cannot be readily exchanged for other currencies, which is something to consider when planning your finances for your trip.
How to Get from Marrakech Airport to Marrakech?
To travel from Marrakech Airport to the city, the first step is to navigate through security and follow the signs for the bus. The bus stop is conveniently located just outside the airport, making it easy to locate. You can purchase your bus ticket directly from the driver. It’s advisable to buy a return ticket that remains valid for two weeks, ensuring you have a hassle-free journey back to the airport when the time comes.
The bus service you’ll want to take is number 19, which will take you directly to Jamaa El Fna, the bustling heart of Marrakech. If you’re planning your return trip to the airport, you can catch the bus from the same stop at Jamaa El Fna.
The journey from Marrakech Airport to Jamaa El Fna is generally quite smooth, taking approximately 30 minutes. The buses run frequently, with departures every 20 to 30 minutes, making public transport a convenient option for travelers.
However, be aware that the bus to the airport takes a different route through the newer parts of Marrakech, which can make the journey slightly longer, typically around 50 minutes. Make sure to leave the city at least three to four hours before your flight to arrive at the airport on time.
Where to Stay in Marrakech?
Staying in a traditional Moroccan house is an experience you simply cannot miss when visiting Morocco, particularly one that features a charming courtyard with a pool. These unique structures, known as “Riads”, have been transformed into delightful accommodations for travelers, especially in popular cities like Marrakesh, Essaouira, and Fes. My experience at BÔ Riad Boutique Hôtel & SPA was truly delightful, primarily due to the warm and welcoming staff, as well as the stunning interior design that perfectly captures the essence of a traditional Moroccan home.
The ambiance was so picturesque that it provided countless opportunities for taking beautiful photographs, allowing us to capture the charm and elegance of our surroundings. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with refreshing mint tea, a lovely gesture that embodies the rich culture and hospitality of Morocco, making us feel right at home from the very start.
The team at the hotel was incredibly helpful, providing us with a detailed map of the old town of Marrakech. They took the time to highlight the must-see attractions that were conveniently located near BÔ Riad Boutique Hôtel & SPA.
As our departure date approached, one of the staff members inquired about our flight schedule. When he found out that our flight was scheduled for later in the evening, he kindly offered us the option to store our luggage at the hotel after we checked out.
This gesture allowed us the freedom to explore the vibrant city of Marrakech without the burden of our bags, enhancing our overall experience. It was incredibly convenient to leave our travel backpacks at BÔ Riad Boutique Hôtel & SPA and return to collect them just before heading to the airport.

The Bahia Palace, constructed in the mid to late 19th century, is renowned for its stunning decorative elements. This expansive estate features a harmonious blend of gardens, courtyards, and intricately designed rooms. All of them are adorned with vibrant colors and exquisite details that reflect the artistry of Moroccan architecture.
Currently, Bahia Palace operates as a museum with an entrance fee, providing a fascinating glimpse into Morocco’s heritage. It is one of the most popular attractions in Marrakech, drawing in numerous tourists eager to experience its grandeur.

During our visit, we noticed a significant number of guided tours, making it the most frequented palace we encountered in the city. The allure of Bahia Palace is undeniable, and it is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Marrakech.
When planning your travel itinerary to Morocco, be sure to include Bahia Palace, due to the Grand Courtyard, which is a true architectural gem. This area is elegantly paved with Italian Carrara marble and framed by a beautifully crafted wooden gallery, leading to approximately 80 rooms that were once part of Ba Ahmed’s harem and the living quarters of his concubines.
The ceiling of the courtyard room boasts remarkable decorations. Its construction was probably carried out in between 1896 and 1897, marking the last significant expansion of the palace.
While we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Bahia Palace, we found the crowds to be a bit overwhelming compared to the more tranquil El Badi Palace. I suggest setting aside at least an hour to fully appreciate each of the palaces in Marrakech.

El Badi Palace -Things to do in Marrakech
El Badi Palace stands as a magnificent ruin in Marrakesh. This grand structure was adorned with materials sourced from various countries, including Italy and Mali. It served as a venue for receptions, showcasing the wealth and power of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur.
Unfortunately, after the death of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur in 1603, the palace fell into neglect. The decline of the Saadian dynasty contributed to its ruin. Many of its valuable materials, especially marble, were removed and repurposed in other Moroccan buildings.
The palace exemplified the exquisite craftsmanship of the Saadian era. It featured luxurious materials like gold and onyx, with colonnades made from Italian marble. The floors were beautifully paved with marble and zellij, while the ceilings and columns were adorned with gilded details and intricate stucco work.
El Badi Palace offers a visual experience unlike any other I have encountered. Its vibrant tiles stand out against the rough walls, creating a unique atmosphere.
I also noticed stork nests perched atop the crumbling walls. Watching these large birds soar above the ruins added to the charm of the place. I highly recommend exploring El Badi Palace when visiting Marrakech.

The Dar el Bacha museum is a stunning palace situated in the historic medina of Marrakesh. This building exemplifies the traditional riad design, featuring a rectangular garden encircled by six rooms on all sides.
Constructed in 1910, it served as the lavish residence of Thami El Glaoui, who aimed to impress his guests with opulence. Notable visitors to Dar el Bacha included famous figures like Charlie Chaplin and Winston Churchill.
The palace is a prime example of Moroccan architecture, showcasing the artistry of local craftsmen. Thami El Glaoui’s passion for decorative elements, particularly those from Italy, is evident throughout.
The intricate tiles and beautifully carved wooden ceilings highlight the exquisite detail of Moroccan design, making one appreciate the time and effort invested in creating this magnificent palace.
Bacha Coffee Café
Dar El Bacha Museum offers fantastic photo opportunities for its visitors. However, your experience won’t be complete without stopping by Bacha Coffee café. I suggest you add your name to the waiting list as soon as you arrive. During our morning visit around 11 am, we faced a waiting time of about one to two hours.
Thankfully, there was plenty to see and do at Dar El Bacha Museum, making the wait feel shorter. The history of Bacha Coffee dates back to 1910 in the medina of Marrakech. Today, you can find Bacha Coffee in several locations around the world, including among others the United Arab Emirates, France, and Hong Kong.
I was eager to try the Hiltribe Coffee, a delightful blend of African and Asian beans with hints of cherry and black currant. Unfortunately, it was sold out during my visit. Instead, I opted for the Burundi Express Coffee, which was flavorful, featuring notes of mandarin orange and pineapple. I highly recommend setting aside a few hours to explore the museum and savor some of the finest coffee available in the city.

Madrasa Ben Youssef -Things to do in Marrakech
Madrasa Ben Youssef is one of my favorite spots in Marrakech, alongside Dar El Bacha Museum, El Badi Palace, and Bahia Palace. This madrasa was the largest Islamic college in Northwest Africa, showcasing its historical significance and architectural beauty.
Visitors enter the courtyard through a wooden screen known as a mashrabiyya, which is set beneath a grand archway. This archway is beautifully decorated with carved stucco, enhancing the overall aesthetic.
The carvings in Madrasa Ben Youssef include traditional designs like arabesques and calligraphic inscriptions, as well as unique Saadian-era motifs such as pine cones. These intricate ornamentation of Ben Youssef Madrasa reflects earlier Moroccan and Andalusi styles.

The surfaces are adorned with zellij, which is exquisite mosaic tilework, along with finely carved stucco and wood details. Each space reveals a different perspective of the beautiful surroundings.
I really enjoy the small windows that offer unique views of Madrasa Ben Youssef. The upper floor windows, which belong to the dormitory rooms, present a new perspective of the main courtyard and its central water basin.

The Chamber of the Twelve Columns stands out as the most stunning section of the Saadian Tombs, nestled within the royal kasbah area of Marrakesh. While visitors are unable to enter the chamber due to a protective barrier, admiring this exquisite architecture makes a great impression.
Adorning the walls of this remarkable chamber is a stunning array of glazed earthenware, beautifully complemented by Koranic friezes that add a spiritual touch to the surroundings. This chamber serves as the final resting place for Ahmed Al Mansour, the visionary behind this elaborate funerary complex, along with his son Zidan and other immediate successors.
The Saadian Tombs are a fascinating historical site that features a total of 56 tombstones adorned with mqabriyas, which are elegant marble epitaphs. In addition to these, there are approximately a hundred more tombs that are distinguished by their vibrant, multicolored tiles.
Exploring the Saadian Tombs is a peaceful experience, as the site is relatively compact and can be navigated in about 15-30 minutes. As you stroll through the gardens, you’ll encounter various chambers that house the resting places of notable figures from the Saadian era.
Are Saadian Tombs Worth Visiting?
During my previous visits to the palaces of Marrakech and the stunning Madrasa Ben Youssef, I found that the Saadian Tombs felt a bit pricey considering the brief time one typically spends there.
While the entrance fee might seem a bit steep, the experience of wandering through the Kasbah district, where the tombs are located, is undeniably rewarding. This area is rich in history and culture and it’s just a short stroll from the vibrant Jamaa El Fna square.

The Koutoubia Mosque stands as the largest mosque in Marrakesh, conveniently located near the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa marketplace, making it a central landmark of the city. I highly recommend experiencing this area at various times throughout the day, particularly during sunset when the mosque is bathed in a warm, golden light, showcasing its stunning architecture and creating a truly magical atmosphere.
As you stroll around the Koutoubia Mosque, you’ll discover numerous vantage points perfect for capturing beautiful photographs. Originally established in 1147, the mosque underwent reconstruction around 1158, with its final touches completed by 1195.
We decided to walk around the Koutoubia Mosque on our first day in Marrakesh. After a long flight, we weren’t quite ready to dive into the more formal attractions like palaces or museums. Instead, wandering through the serene gardens surrounding the mosque provided a wonderful opportunity to soak in the local atmosphere without feeling rushed.

The Moulay al-Yazid Mosque, often referred to as the Kasbah Mosque, is situated in the historic Kasbah district, which was once the citadel of the city. This area is rich in history and is in close proximity to notable landmarks, including the magnificent El Badi Palace and the Porte Bab Er Robb. Adjacent to the mosque lies also one of the city’s most revered historical sites, the Saadian Tombs.

While strolling towards Madrasa Ben Youssef, we stumbled upon the Marrakech Museum, which is conveniently located nearby. This museum is situated within the Dar Menebhi Palace, a remarkable example of Moroccan architecture from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The palace captivates visitors with its vibrant zellij tilework and intricately painted and carved cedar wood details. In the center of the courtyard, a magnificent chandelier made of brass, adorned with geometric and arabesque designs, adds to the palace’s charm and grandeur.
As we continued our walk, I slightly regret for opting to visit Le Jardin Secret instead of exploring the Marrakech Museum. However, with it being our final day in Morocco and our finances and time being quite limited, we had to make choices.

Le Jardin Secret stands out as one of one of the largest riads nestled within the vibrant medina of Marrakech. This enchanting location features two beautifully curated gardens, showcasing a diverse array of plants and trees sourced from five different continents. Each species has been carefully selected to thrive in conditions similar to those found in Marrakech, creating a lush and inviting atmosphere that transports visitors to a world of natural beauty.
Water plays a crucial role in the design of Arab-Muslim gardens, and at Le Jardin Secret, the central fountain serves as the heart of the riad, symbolizing life and tranquility. The first inhabitants of Marrakech devised a remarkable system to channel water from the nearby Atlas Mountains into the city, utilizing ancient underground channels.
While the exotic and Islamic gardens of Le Jardin Secret offer fantastic opportunities for photography, the overall exploration of the site can be completed relatively quickly. During our visit, we spent about 40 minutes leisurely wandering through the gardens, taking breaks on the benches to soak in the surroundings.
For those who prefer a more brisk visit, it’s possible to enjoy the beauty of the gardens in just 15 to 30 minutes. However, some may find the entrance fee a bit steep, especially considering the gardens are not as expansive as one might anticipate.

Parc Lalla Hasna
Parc Lalla Hasna is conveniently situated adjacent to the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa Square. Upon our arrival in Marrakech, I was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of greenery, featuring lush palm trees and citrus trees. This unexpected oasis of nature amidst the urban landscape truly enhances the charm of the city.
The park boasts two fountains, providing an excellent backdrop for capturing memorable photographs with the Koutoubia Mosque in the distance. If you find yourself feeling weary after a long flight, taking a leisurely stroll through Parc Lalla Hasna is an ideal way to ease into your Marrakech adventure.
We made it a point to return to the park before our departure flight, and spending an hour basking in the sun was a delightful way to enjoy our final moments in Marrakech. This leisurely break allowed us to recharge and soak up some much-needed vitamin D before heading to the Jemaa el-Fnaa bus stop.

The Parc de la Koutoubia is located right next to the iconic Koutoubia Mosque and the lovely Parc Lalla Hasna. This park is a must-visit for anyone exploring Marrakech, as it features a stunning pathway lined with citrus trees that creates a picturesque and serene atmosphere.
In Marrakech, citrus trees hold significant cultural importance, with the bitter orange tree being particularly noteworthy. The combination of the park’s beauty and its proximity to the Koutoubia Mosque makes it an ideal spot for both reflection and exploration.

By day, the square is alive with the orange juice vendors, as well as entertainers showcasing chained macaques and snake charmers, despite the legal protections these animals have under Moroccan law.
As the sun begins to set, Jemaa el-Fnaa transforms into an even more vibrant scene, with people gathering to enjoy the lively performances and the enticing aroma of food wafting from numerous stalls.
While I was eager to indulge in the culinary offerings at Jemaa el-Fnaa, I must confess that I found myself leaning towards dining at one of the nearby restaurants instead, where I felt the quality matched the price more favorably.
The enchanting spectacle of Jemaa el-Fnaa unfolds anew each day, ensuring that no two visits are ever the same. This iconic location is a must-see for anyone traveling to Marrakech, as it shows the essence of the city’s culture and vibrancy.

Rue Fehl Chidmi
The souks of Marrakech consist of a maze of narrow streets and winding alleyways brimming with bustling market stalls. Rue Fehl Chidmi is notably wider than many others in the area, providing a more spacious atmosphere for visitors. Additionally, the stunning overhead ceiling allow soft light to filter down, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that enhances the shopping experience.
Navigating the souks of Marrakech can be quite a challenge, as it’s easy to lose your way amidst the labyrinth of shops and stalls. Therefore, beginning your adventure on Rue Fehl Chidmi can be a wise choice. This street not only offers a delightful array of colorful shops but also showcases a diverse selection of souvenirs that reflect the rich culture and artistry of the region.

However, it’s important to be mindful of the local customs; some shopkeepers prefer that their merchandise not be photographed. Exploring Souk Semmarine is another a must-do when visiting Marrakech. If my travels didn’t limit me to just a backpack, I would certainly indulge in purchasing some ceramics. Moroccan ceramics are renowned for their variety of colors and hand-painted patterns, making them a delightful addition to any interior.

Place Des Epices is a charming little square nestled in the heart of Marrakech, and the moment you step into it, you are greeted by the delightful aroma of spices wafting through the air. This spot is a feast for the senses, offering also a rich tapestry of colors from the various pigments available for purchase. If we had more time during our stay in Marrakech, we would have certainly made a point to visit the highly recommended Café Des Épices, which boasts a lovely view of the square.

Tinsmiths Square is a lesser-known spot in Marrakech that often escapes the attention of many visitors. While the bustling souks near Jemaa el-Fnaa attract a large crowd, this charming square provides a serene atmosphere that allows for a more relaxed exploration.
One of the advantages of visiting Tinsmiths Square is the opportunity to engage in more favorable negotiations when it comes to purchasing souvenirs. I was certain that Restaurant Dar Cherifa would be the perfect venue to celebrate my birthday, and it did not disappoint. The dishes were not only exquisite in flavor but also presented with an artistic touch that reflected the restaurant’s historic charm. I chose the Chicken Pastilla, a traditional Moroccan dish that was elegantly garnished with powdered sugar, cinnamon, and fresh mint leaves.
For those seeking a more adventurous option, the camel meatballs offer a unique taste that lies somewhere between beef and lamb. Camel meat is a traditional delicacy enjoyed in the dry landscapes of the Middle East and North-East Africa.
To complement the meal, my partner savored a refreshing smoothie and I indulged in the Moroccan tea ceremony, where the tea is poured from a height. One of the primary reasons for this theatrical pouring technique is to create a frothy layer on top of the tea.
In addition to the aesthetic appeal, pouring tea from a height plays a crucial role in regulating its temperature. By allowing the tea to cascade from above, it cools down just enough to ensure that guests can savor the drink without the risk of burning their mouths.

I was genuinely taken aback by how wonderfully the flavors melded together; the lemon paired with tender chicken created a delightful taste experience.

After our visit to Le Jardin Secret and Madrasa Ben Youssef, we decided it was time to take a break and indulge in a coffee and a light lunch. We stumbled upon Bazaar Cafe, conveniently located nearby, which promised a delightful culinary experience at very reasonable prices.
We couldn’t resist trying their Arabic Shawarma, and it certainly did not disappoint; it was bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. In addition to their delicious food, Bazaar Cafe boasts an impressive selection of Moroccan and international wines, beers, spirits, and cocktails, making it a rare gem in Marrakech where one can enjoy a drink.
There’s truly no better way to unwind in Marrakech than by spending time on a rooftop terrace, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of the city. We found ourselves in the perfect spot to bask in the sunshine, a welcome change after wandering through the shaded streets for most of the day. The markets, often covered and surrounded by towering buildings, can obscure the sun, which is something many visitors might not anticipate before arriving in this enchanting city.

During my recent trip to Marrakech, I found myself wishing for more time to discover the city’s vibrant dining scene. As a female traveler, I found Marrakech to be quite a safe destination. While exploring the vibrant markets, I often had my phone in hand, capturing the colorful sights around me. Throughout my time in Morocco, I never encountered anyone attempting to snatch my belongings or my bag containing cash. The presence of police officers in various parts of the city added an extra layer of reassurance, as they were actively monitoring the surroundings to ensure the safety of both locals and tourists alike.
During our adventures in Marrakech, we decided to leave our valuable souvenirs at BÔ Riad Boutique Hôtel & SPA while we roamed the city. To our relief, nothing went missing, which was a pleasant surprise considering that we had experienced theft in hotels in other countries that were deemed safer. This experience highlighted the fact that Marrakech, despite its bustling atmosphere, can be a secure place for travelers to enjoy their time without constant worry about their belongings.
I was pleasantly surprised by the demeanor of the local vendors; they were not overly aggressive in their sales tactics. If you expressed disinterest and walked away, they respected your decision and did not pursue you further.
This was a refreshing contrast to our previous trip to Jamaica, where we faced relentless pressure from sellers. However, I would advise against asking locals for directions, as they often expect compensation for their assistance. It’s best to rely on hotel staff for guidance, as they can provide help without the expectation of payment.
Laws and Culture in Marrakech
It is essential to honor and adhere to the local traditions, customs, laws, and religious practices of the places you visit. Being mindful of your actions is particularly important during significant periods, such as the holy month of Ramadan, or when you are in religious sites.
Ramadan holds great significance for Muslims, and its observance varies depending on the year and location. If you plan to visit Morocco, it is advisable to check the specific dates for Ramadan before your trip.
During this sacred month, there are certain behaviors to avoid in public during daylight hours. These include eating, drinking, smoking, or chewing gum, even if you are in your vehicle. Additionally, refraining from playing loud music, dancing, or using profanity in public spaces is crucial to show respect for the local customs.
When exploring cities like Marrakech, dressing modestly is recommended. Opting for loose-fitting clothing that covers the arms, legs, and chest is a thoughtful choice, as it aligns with local expectations. For instance, wearing a v-neck dress may not be deemed appropriate in such settings.
While licensed hotels and bars in tourist areas do serve alcohol, it is important to remember that consuming alcohol in public spaces or outside of designated establishments is illegal and can result in serious consequences. Furthermore, expressing criticism of Islam in any public forum, whether in print or online, can lead to severe penalties, including hefty fines and potential imprisonment.

I am seriously contemplating a return trip to Morocco in the future, as I believe a longer stay would allow me to fully appreciate all that this beautiful country has to offer. Marrakech serves as an excellent hub for embarking on various tours that showcase the stunning landscapes and rich culture of Morocco.
On my next visit, I am particularly interested in booking the 3-Day Merzouga and Sahara Desert Tour, which seems to provide incredible value. This tour includes visits to the iconic Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as well as opportunities to explore the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and the city of Ouarzazate.

I am especially excited about the possibility of trying sandboarding, experiencing a camel ride and witnessing the stunning sunset over the dunes. Another excursion that has caught my attention is a visit to the Ouzoud Waterfalls. Upon arriving in the village of Ouzoud, I can only imagine how breathtaking it would be to see the waterfalls cascading down 110 meters (360 feet) into the pool below.
